The ‘A10’ Pinot Noir is a single site selection off our A10 Pinot Noir Block located adjacent the winery and planted in 1987. This site produces a wine of great depth and brooding intensity.
"Medium-bodied, rich and grainy, but balanced in acidity and freshness, emery tannin pushes through the wine, and there’s sap, cherry and spice rolling out on a distinctly ‘minerally / lead pencil’ finish. Lovely stuff."
-Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.
"The block was planted in '87 adjacent to the winery. Purple-crimson hue; there is no mention of whole bunches or stems on the label, but there is discussion of the robust nature of this pinot and layers of fine tannins. It's got more power to the fruit than you might realise. Like all the Pipers Brook '17 Pinots, these are wines for the long game."
-James Halliday, Wine Companion
