Kreglinger Wine Estates


Callum Czyz, National Sales Manager

Callum Czyz has been part of the Kreglinger Wine Estates team for over 3 years.  A born and bred Tasmanian, his passion for wine has been an ongoing love affair. 

With 9 years’ experience in hospitality running some leading Tasmanian restaurants and bars in Hobart, Callum has been exposed to both sales and customer experience management roles, which plays a major part in his position within Kreglinger Wine Estates.

Rachel Boyd, Marketing 

With a background in sales, marketing and cellar door experience, Rachel joined the team in 2017 and manages all marketing, events, PR and communications as well as wine club across the Kreglinger Wine Estates portfolio.

A native Tasmanian, Rachel is a passionate advocate for Tasmanian wine,  produce and our growing Tourism industry.

Pipers Brook Vineyard 

Luke Whittle, Senior Winemaker

Luke’s winemaking career began in New Zealand, working part time in a West Auckland winery in 2007 while completing a degree in Wine Science at the University of Auckland. After several vintages in New Zealand Luke made the move to Central Victoria to work with the Balgownie Estate in 2011. 

Having gained experience in vintage winemaking in Canada and Germany, Luke was drawn to Tasmania in 2015 to pursue an ever-growing passion for cool climate wines. Luke returned in 2016 and in September was appointed as Senior winemaker with Pipers Brook Vineyard. 



Kym Ayliffe, Viticulturist

Kym has been involved in the wine industry for most of his working life managing vineyards in various South Australian wine regions and spending a little time in NSW.

Having an underlying desire to become involved in the blossoming Tasmanian wine industry and the elegant cool climate wines emerging from the state, he recently took up the opportunity to experience and explore cool climate viticulture, Tasmanian style in August 2018 with Pipers Brook Vineyards. The new challenges Tasmanian viticulture presents in a demanding environment are major motivational factor to enjoying a stimulating workplace and relishing Pipers Brook vineyards, set amongst the beautiful Tasmanian NE landscapes .

Residing at Pipers Brook, water activities are in abundant supply and Kym enjoys sailing on the Tamar, kayaking on Tasmania’s crystal clear rivers or catching delicious flathead around the northern bays.


Elaine Curtis-Flynn, Cellar Door Manager

Born in England, with most of her life spent in Brisbane, Elaine is now proud to call Tasmania home, and is arguably the most passionate advocate of the Tasmanian wine industry you'll find! With 38 years of experience in horticulture and a qualified garden designer, Elaine loves learning and then sharing with cellar door visitors, all things Pipers Brook,  wine and viticulture, and even has a small chardonnay hobby vineyard of her own.

Elaines knowledge and excitement about Tasmanian wine guarantees a genuine and unforgettable cellar door experience.


Norfolk Rise Vineyard

Alice Davidson, Senior Winemaker

Alice grew up among the apple trees of the Adelaide Hills, and after completing an undergraduate degree at Adelaide University with honours in Geology and Geophysics, she worked for PIRSA using spectral sensing technology to evaluate soils and drill core for industry. After completing vintages in McLaren Vale, she returned to study Oenology and Viticulture at Adelaide University. She has travelled, tasted and worked in some far reaching wine regions of the world including, Kakheti Georgia, the Okanagan Valley Canada, Chile, California, France and South Africa before calling the coastal town of Robe home.

George Andrews, Vineyard Manager

George was brought up on a farm in the local area and initially pursued a career in the fishing industry which took him around Australia as well as to New Zealand. In 1997 he began his studies in viticulture, and in 1998 he returned home to help develop a vineyard on family land in the newly emerging region of Mount Benson. In 2000, George joined Norfolk Rise as the property manager and has been a major contributor to its development over the past 17 years.

Fred Strachan - Viticulturist 

Fred has a love for all things agriculture having grown up on his parent’s South Australian stone fruit and fig farm that he now owns with his sister.

Fred turned his hand to viticulture in 2002 and honed his skills with prominent winemakers Yalumba, before deciding to call Tasmania home in 2015.

In 2018, Fred returned to his native South Australia, and remains a part of the Kreglinger family,  consulting with the Norfolk Rise viticulture team, overseeing the operation of producing pristine fruit for our elegant cool climate wines.
