This Sauvignon Blanc is a crowd pleaser with its complexity and lively mouth feel. An exciting nose of crushed pineapple, musk and florals with fresh acidity and stonefruit characters for a big flavour hit.
Brilliant pale straw colour. The nose is lively with perfumed musk, cut grass,
and passionfruit. Clean and crisp palate with guava and apple. Beautifully
balanced with a refreshing mineral acidity giving a lingering finish. Likely lifespan 2019 with optimal years
being 2017/18. Try it with spicy, pan-seared scallops, asparagus
with grilled Parmesan cheese and fresh seafood.
Situated in the heart of the cool climate Mount Benson region, the Norfolk Rise Vineyard is planted on 180 hectares of undulating coastal hills. Within 5 kilometres of the ocean at 37 degrees south of the equator, our Sauvignon Blanc comes from two blocks, one providing tropical fruit characters and one providing fresh acid and varietal character.
Sauvignon Blanc grapes were selected from two blocks off our Estate vineyard. The juice was clarified and fermented using a selection of aromatic yeast stains.
To maximise the retention of fresh fruit flavours and aromas, the wine was bottled early and under screw cap.
